SOZZI ARAFAT's Story
Sozzi Arafat's life has been filled with unimaginable hardship and heartbreak. Orphaned at a very young age after losing his father in infancy, he, along with his helpless mother and siblings, endured the relentless pain of poverty and suffering. Their lives were a constant struggle, with little hope for a brighter future. Desperate and overwhelmed, they eventually found refuge at the orphanage in 2015, seeking safety and care. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Sozzi was determined to forge a better path. He started school with us and worked tirelessly to overcome the odds. Last year, in 2025, he sat for his Uganda Certificate of Education exams, holding onto the fragile hope that education might be his salvation. Now, he anxiously awaits his results, clinging to the dream of becoming a qualified teacher—someone who can inspire and uplift others, just as he yearns to be uplifted. Yet, his journey is far from over, and his future remains uncertain. Any support to help him achieve his dream would mean the world to a boy who has already endured so much pain and loss, desperately seeking a chance for a better life.
